Dr. Jennifer Hyde

Dr. Jennifer Mohr Hyde was born in Taipei,Taiwan. She lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan before moving to Washington, DC at the age of eight. She graduated from Duke University where she majored in biology and women’s studies and spent a semester in Baja California studying marine biology and conservation. She loves Duke Basketball and was lucky enough to be a "Cameron Crazy" through two NCCA national championship seasons (1991 and 1992).

Dr. Hyde received her MD degree at Stanford University. She has done biomedical research in the area of HIV immunology at the National Institutes of Health, Duke, and Stanford and her research has been published in two peer-reviewed journal articles. She has also contributed to two books - one, a collection of essays on women in medicine (This Side of Doctoring, Reflections from Women in Medicine, Eliza Lo Chin, ed.2002) and an upcoming textbook on the care of the formerly premature infant.

Dr. Hyde completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. She joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatric Associates in 2003. Her clinical interests include newborn and infant care, breastfeeding, asthma and allergies, young women’s health and dermatology.

She lives in Dedham with her husband, son, and daughter. Besides her family, she enjoys a good meal, a good book, a good show, a good bike ride, and a good laugh-- whenever she can get them.
