Mitchell S. Pozner, MD
Dr. Mitchell Pozner (also known as Dr. Mitch or Dr. P) joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 1994 when the office was located on Dr. Franklin’s (founder of the practice) property adjacent to his home. The following year the practice was relocated to its current location.
After attending college and medical school in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Pozner moved to Massachusetts, where he completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Floating Hospital for Children at New England Medical Center (the teaching hospital for Tufts School of Medicine). He also completed a year of Child and Adult Psychiatry, and served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics.
Dr. Pozner has a wide range of medical interests including childhood mental illness, newborn issues, children with special needs and chronic illness, colic and fussy infants, and gastroesophageal reflux in infants.
He lives with his wife (a special education teacher) and their two children. He enjoys biking, magic, the art and science of bubbles, photography (especially of his kids!), and spending time with his family.
