Staff
Eight physicians and six nurse practitioners and a nutritionist make up the clinical staff at Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics. All doctors in our practice graduated from residency programs at Boston Academic Medical Centers, are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and are Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Pediatrics.
We are all members of the PPOC, the Pediatric Physicians Organization at Children’s, an organization of pediatric practices working together to improve the quality and delivery of pediatric health care.

Kathryn Austin
Kathryn Austin joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 2007. She graduated from the Nurse Practitioner program at Boston College and has her Masters of Science degree with a concentration in Pediatric nursing. Read More.

Jill Fischer, MD
Dr. Fischer joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 2000. She graduated in 1991 from Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges with a degree in Biological Anthropology. She studied at Dartmouth Medical School for two years and then spent four years at the Yale School of Medicine. Read More.

Karen Halle, MD
Karen Halle joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 1998. She was born in California, raised in Wisconsin, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Read More.
Lester Hartman, MD
Dr Hartman has been a member of this practice since 1986. He is very active in developing new innovative ideas for the practice (i.e. Home Strep Test program and pediatrics in general. Jennifer Hyde, MD
Dr. Jennifer Mohr Hyde was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan before moving to Washington, DC at the age of eight. She graduated from Duke University where she majored in biology and women’s studies and spent a semester in Baja California studying marine biology and conservation. Read More.

Dr. Meredith Liebman grew up in Long Island, NY before moving to Boston to attend college. She graduated in 2003 from Tufts University with honors in Biology and Child Development. Read More.

Kristen McGourty RN, MSN, CPNP, IBCLC is a graduate from the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Simmons College, where she currently serves as a faculty member at the undergraduate and graduate level. Read More.
Dana Oliver, MSN, CPNP
Dana joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 2008. She grew up locally in Sudbury, Massachusetts then spent six years studying and living in California before returning to the east coast. Read More.
MaryAnn Ouellette, MS, APRN, CS-PNP, IBCLC
MaryAnn is a graduate from the Nurse Practitioner program at Regis College and joined our practice in 1998. She has a Master of Science degree with a concentration in pediatric nursing. Read More.

Mitchell Pozner, MD
Dr. Mitchell Pozner (also known as Dr. Mitch or Dr. P) joined Westwood Pediatrics in 1994 when the office was located on Dr. Franklin's (the founder of the practice) property adjacent to his home. The following year the practice was relocated to its current location. Read More.
Suzanne Rostler, MS, RD, LDN
Suzanne received her Master’s degree in clinical nutrition from New York University. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of California at Berkeley and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Suzanne is a registered dietitian. She works with patients on a range of food, nutrition and health-related conditions. Read More.

Adam Strauss, MD
Dr. Strauss joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 2003. He graduated from Yale University (where he had occasion to play soccer with Theo Epstein!) and followed this with a year of research at the National Institutes of Health. Read More.

Sandra “Sam” Ventura, RN, CS-FNP
Sam is a graduate of the nurse practitioner program at the Massachusetts General Hospital and joined our practice in 2001. Sam also holds a degree in Nutrition and worked as a registered nutritionist prior to her becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner. Read More.
