Dr. Fischer joined Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics in 2000. She graduated in 1991 from Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges with a degree in Biological Anthropology. She studied at Dartmouth Medical School for two years and then spent four years at the Yale School of Medicine.
While at Yale, she received an American Heart Association fellowship to study endometriosis. Her thesis at Yale addressed medical professionals’ attitudes towards obese patients.
Dr. Fischer completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Massachusetts General Hospital and is board certified in pediatrics. Her interests include general pediatrics, behavioral pediatrics, international adoption, and care of NICU graduates.
Dr. Fischer lives with her husband, who is an academic general internist, as well as her three children.
