Pediatric Behavioral Health & Psychiatry Services

At Westwood-Mansfield Pediatric Associates, we believe that supporting a child's mental and emotional well-being is just as essential as caring for their physical health. We are committed to providing comprehensive, family-centered behavioral health care—working to connect you with the right support as quickly as clinically appropriate, right within the practice you already know and trust.

If you have concerns about your child’s behavioral or emotional health, or if you would like support as a parent, please call our office to schedule an initial consult with your WMPeds primary care provider. We are here to help.

Our Team

Our integrated behavioral health team includes:

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSWs) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs)

Our LICSWs and LMHCs offer individual counseling for children (ages 6 and older) and adolescents, as well as parent-focused counseling for families of younger children. They support a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns and work with parents to strengthen strategies at home.

Our clinicians also provide counseling for postpartum depression and perinatal mood concerns, offering guidance and support during the early stages of parenthood.

  • Pediatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners

Our psychiatric NPs specialize in the evaluation and management of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral or mood disorders. They provide medication evaluation and management when appropriate and collaborate closely with families and the primary care team.

Our psychiatric NPs utilize a whole-person, evidence-based approach which considers biological, psychological, and social factors, improving the overall quality of care.

  • Care Coordinators

Our care coordinators help guide families through the behavioral health process—managing referrals, organizing information, connecting families with resources, and ensuring each patient’s care plan is clear, supported, and accessible.

Group Sessions & Programs

In addition to individual therapy, our practice offers a range of group sessions designed to provide education, skill-building, and peer support. These may include:

  • Social skills groups
  • Anxiety and coping skills groups
  • Parent education and support groups
  • Groups focused on specific developmental stages or behavioral challenges

Group programming evolves based on community needs and allows families to learn and grow in a supportive, structured environment.

A Team-Based Approach to Care

We believe the best care happens when everyone works together.
Our behavioral health clinicians collaborate closely with your child’s primary care provider (PCP) to ensure a unified and comprehensive approach. This integrated model allows us to:

  • Share clinical insights and treatment recommendations
  • Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Support families with coordinated, seamless care
  • Keep your child’s PCP at the center of their medical home
